History

The company was founded by Gustav Schröder back in 1926 and is now managed by the third generation of family members. Initially, the business specialised in the manufacture of kitchen sideboards, operating from a small multi-storey facility in Bünde. Hermann Schröder, who took over the business from his uncle in 1967, gradually re-oriented production more and more towards fitted modular kitchens. During this restructuring process, the company moved to Kirchlengern since the site there allowed expansion of the production floor space.

Today the company is managed by Hermann Schröder’s daughter, Kerstin Kröhnert, who is committed to continuing the success of the traditional family-run enterprise by invigorating it with innovations and contemporary ideas.
